Is Richmond a good place to stay?

Richmond is the best suburb to stay in for the MCG, the Australian Open and AAMI Park: the sports precinct is on its doorstep and Richmond Station is one stop from the city. It also has some of Melbourne’s best casual food on Victoria Street (Vietnamese) and Swan Street. Our pick is the Richmond Penthouse at 8 Garfield Street — two bedrooms, two bathrooms and secure parking.
